Position creation establishes a new empire in Starium XCV which includes the following activities:

Pick a game to join
From the Account page, click on the Create Empire button:
Choose from 4 different types of game servers:
~ Normal travel times for armies & fleets
~ Normal production yields
~ Normal starting colony
~ Normal travel times for armies & fleets
~ Normal production yields
~ Thriving starting colony
~ Faster travel times for armies & fleets
~ Increased production yields
~ Thriving starting colony
~ Slower travel times for armies & fleets
~ Decreased production yields
~ Thriving starting colony
~ Normal travel times for armies & fleets
~ Normal production yields
~ Normal starting colony

Select colony type
Review the different races, ship designs and leader skills for each colony. These 3 choices with determine your starting colony and the foundation of your empire.
- Race(s) - Each has their own strengths and weaknesses. Read about them in the window on the right. Click the race banner for more information.
- Leader Skills - For your primary leader. More information below. You will be able to choose 2 more skills later.
- Ship Designs - Cosmetic to start. You will add capabilities making them unique to your empire

Take Leadership test (optional)
After ~6 questions related to colony decision making, two leader skills are suggested for your primary leader.
Leadership Test Question #1:
There are 9 leader skills:
1. Political
2. Religious
3. Psionics
4. Ground Combat
5. Space Combat
6. Scientist
7. Archaeologist
8. Builder
9. Covert
The leader banner for the suggested leader skills can be downloaded at the end of the test.
Selecting leader's skills, look & name
Your have the ability to choose your leader skills, the leader's name, his or her sex and look.

Clicking on the Randomize button provides a race compatible name.
Keep clicking until you find a name you like.
Or enter one of your own choosing.
Selecting empire’s name & start game play
Finally, you enter an empire name. Once you finalize these choices game play begins.
Note: Each empire name must be unique to the game space. In the example above the name is already in use and cannot be used again.
