Messages
You can send messages to other players and receive notifications using an internal Message system.
Message Types
A variety of messages types are used as part of game play.
Notifications
Login Reward: Every day you log in, you receive a “login reward”. Accepting the reward in the messages gives you Virtures and some Øuadran.
System Notification: Meta messages to let players know what's going on with the game.
Gwythdarian Message: Messages to Starium players from Gwythdarian. These are mostly used for announcements and community outreach.
Event Alert: Informs the player that an Event has affected their territory.
Forward Message: You will be able to forward player-to-player messages to other players. This functionality is currently unimplemented.
Hostilities
War Declaration on Empire Notification: Informs the player that another entity has declared war on them.
War Declaration by Player's Federation Notification: Informs the player that their Federation has declared war on another entity. There is currently no mechanism in the game to do this.
War Declaration on Player's Federation Notification: Informs the player that an entity has declared war on their Federation.
Army Battle Report: Describes the results of the battle and links to the Battle Simulator for that Ground Battle.
Fleet Battle Report: Describes the results of the battle and links to the Battle Simulator for that Space Battle.
Propose Cease Fire: This message is a request to end the “at war” status between two entities. It can only be sent between entities currently at war.
Cease Fire Alert: This message is sent to the sender of a Cease Fire proposal. It informs the player whether or not a the Cease Fire proposal was accepted or declined.
Espionage
Agent Action Report: The results of an Agent Action. This message indicates if player's agent was successful or not.
Enemy Agent Report: A notification that an enemy Agent has acted upon the player's Empire.
Communication
Player to Player Message: These are messages players send to each other. The recipient must be in the sender's “contact list”, which is a list of empires with an entry in the player's Empire “relationship” table.
- Federation-to-player message: Messages sent by a Federation to a player. Currently, there is no mechanism to generate this message.
- Federation invitation: An invitation for a player to join a Federation. This message has options for “Accept” and “Decline”. Accepting the message makes the player a member of inviting Federation. Declining the invitation generates a rejection message.
- Federation invitation rejection: Informs the Federation that an invitation they sent to an empire was rejected.
Protection
Propose Mutual Defense Agreement: Message received when another player is requesting a mutual defense agreement. The message has options for “accept” and “decline”. Both messages will send an alert to let the sender know the request was accepted or declined.
Mutual Defense Alert: This message lets the player know if a Mutual Defense Proposal was accepted or declined. It's also used to inform the player when the other party breaks the Mutual Defense Agreement.
Areas
Claim Area Reward: This message informs the player that they received resources from conquering an Area.
Area Loss Alert: Informs the player that they have lost ownership of an Area.
Trade
Propose Trade Agreement: Message received when another player is requesting a Trade Agreement. The message has options for “accept” and “decline”. Both messages will send an alert to let the sender know the request was accepted or declined.
Trade Agreement Alert: This message lets the player know if a Trade Agreement proposal was accepted or declined. It's also used to inform the player when the other party breaks the Trade Agreement.
Sanctions Alert: This message lets the player know that another empire has issued a Sanction against them. It's also sent when the Sanction is lifted.
