Galactic Map
Clicking on the Map button in the Navigation bar opens the Galactic map. It locates an empire's fleets in different star systems. Also included are the scanning and jump distances fleets work within.
Stars are either single or binary:
Star name font color & decoration (precedence 1-5):
1. Never been there: medium grey & italics
2. Been there physically: white & no decoration
3. Agents present in system: blue & no decoration
4. Army or ship present: gold & no decoration
5. Empire owns areas in system: green, bold, larger & underlined
Galactic map legend:
The view in the Galactic map is zoomed in and out using the +/- controls on the bottom left corner of the UI or with pointing devices.

Also shown on this map are the scan range (red) for seeing information about a star system and jump range (blue) showing which systems the fleet is in range to gain orbit:
